Most underrated international cricketer?
(Preview)
For me. I would have to say from the current crop of players - Justin Langer. He's scored 24 test centuries, yet is always just about for the chop if he fails in one test. One of the most reliable openers ever and he scores faster than so-called "dashers" like Michael Slater.
From the past I'd say Rodn...

They think it's all over... It is now. The Ashes 2006/7
(Preview)
The Ashes are over for now. 5 nil, for only the 2nd time in history. A fair result? Moan, make excuses, defend your favourite players. Praise the best. Do it all here. I think that England are actually a bit unlucky to lose by such a margin, as there have been several worse England touring teams that have o...

The outrageous 2007 boast thread
(Preview)
Here's you chance to get in writing the feats that you are convinced you are going to achieve during 2007. I'll start with that old chestnut. "I'm gonna score a fifty this year." (probably against Munich CC) or "We're gonna win the Austrian League this year." -- Edited by El Presidente at 18:51, 2006-1...

Kevin Pietersen vs Michael Hussey
(Preview)
OK a quick question here? If you had to choose one batsman for your team, would you pick Pietersen or Hussey. The stats say. Kevin Pietersen 23 tests 44 innings Runs 2087 Highest 158 (3 times actually) Average 49.69 6 x 100 and 9 x 50 plus 14 catches Micheal Hussey 16 tests 26 innings Runs 1597 Highest 182 A...

Buchanan asks England for contest
(closed)
(Preview)
John Buchanan, the current Australian coach has just come out with this statement. He is asking England to "bring their best game to Sydney."
He also "questioned Kevin Pieterson's commitment to the England team."
Personally, I think this is a classic case of "numpty-itis" and I predict KP...

England's One Day squad
(Preview)
Harmison has retired. Vaughan is back. Monty has been included (good move that) Tremlett returns from the outer and a 36 year old keeper called Paul Nixon is included. (Anyone know if he can bat?) - Cricinfo has descibed him as being perhaps the world's best exponent of the reverse sweep! Who would you...

Celebrate or Mourn?
(Preview)
So, which is it to be, you Slovenian Cricketers? Do the Poms outnumber the Aussies? Is Slovenia generally celebrating or mourning the Ashes verdict?
As a Slovenian Brit in New York with far too many Aussie chums, I know where I stand. In the middle. One foot either side of...

Who would your England XI be for the Boxing day test?
(closed)
(Preview)
Australia have named an unchanged 12 for the next test. England have been criticised for their selections. Who would you pick? Personally I'd pick Plunkett over Mahmood if they are that desperate for a number 8 batsman and if Chris Reed doesn't play then it's a travesty.
Any thoughts? ...
