Celebrate or Mourn?

So, which is it to be, you Slovenian Cricketers?  Do the Poms outnumber the Aussies?  Is Slovenia generally celebrating or mourning the Ashes verdict?

As a Slovenian Brit in New York with far too many Aussie chums, I know where I stand.  In the middle.  One foot either side of the fence.  Around the bush somewhere with a beating stick.

I think cricket was the winner yet again.

It would be too predictable of me to do any gloating as that would rude, boorish and uncultured. Most un-Australian behaviour.

Far too many "if only"s unfortunately.

The major one being to bring in Monty earlier.

Of course cricket is the winner meaning we lost this time.

The Aussies were far more up for it this time - however, some of the fuss seems a bit over the top. After all it's hardly the first time a team has won at home and then lost away.

It's still a far better England team than during the 90s - just a shame we didn't at least draw the second and then build on bowling em out for 244 or so
