Players you hate (from your own country)

Having watched Sth Africa beat England and seeing some of the venom spat in the direction of England by the English fans among us, I thought it would be interesting to learn of the players you just cannot abide.

I hope Shane Watson injures himself again so he doesn't come back into our side as he is frankly a ****. If we have one weak link in the finals it will be the pies that he lobs in the direction of the "who ate all the pies?" figures of Smith and Kallis.

I have never liked Steve Waugh, nor Greg Chappell. Both I found to be humourless bores whose style of play reduced me to tears of boredom. I hated Greg Ritchie if anyone remembers him. His attempt to grab 5 minutes in the limelight resulted in this. (Why Greg Ritchie is a ****)

Of the current crop of players (besides Watson), I don't know why but I don't like Phil Jacques - It's possible I may warm to him, but at the moment I hope they pick someone else in the test team.

Ed Joyce. A neat enough bat at some levels, and potentially in the longer format, but way way short of the required class in ODIs. Never wins county matches. Only in the squad because of his "character", which means Fletcher and Vaughan like him. Not fit to lace Owais Shah's size-10s.* An utter spaz in the field.

* Amazing how Middlesex had three players in this England squad, yet their one player with the ability to win one-day matches was not there...

No I know who you mean. I would have Owais Shah in the team too, don't know what he did to get flicked.

Chris Silverwood. Don't really know why but the sight of him made the anger in me rise up. Luckily he's fairly prone to injury, which truncated his England career somewhat.

Aftab Habib. Anyone remember him? GOD what was he doing in an England shirt?

And to be honest I could never stand Mike Atherton. And still can't. I just want to slap him. Such a ninny.

And basically any insipid, passionless individual who goes out to play for their country and gives the constant impression that they'd rather be somewhere else.

I've just realised that you haven't mentioned any players from your own country, Slovenia. You're surely not an Aussie playing for a different country? biggrinbiggrin

That Furness guy gets on my nerves a lot.

And as for that fat old fool Brad Eve... well he should have packed it in years ago.
