Great 'Weakest Link' answer
Permalink

This one is particularly for Paichukka, though it made me cry with laughter. Heard on Weakest Link recently.

Anne "complete the following wellknown phrase from Casablanca. Here's looking at you.....?"

Instant answer from young contestant who may have been dared or bet to do it -
"Fray Bentos."

110% Brilliant. You couldn't make this one up.

Think I may have to use the line at some stage this year.

I'd say you are right. Hadn't seen that as I seem to be one of the only people in the world who doesn't understand "the Office." Oh well. Still if it increases the exposure to the world of the "named-after-a-Uruguayan-town meat pie makers" then i'm all for it. Incidentally, Luxury once brought a Steak and kidney Fray Bentos tin back from the UK for me, and it was bloody marvellous.

It's a good answer, and clearly an Office-based schtowdent jape.

I had a friend who went on Fifteen-To-One loaded up with dares from his mates. He only managed to get one of them out -- pulling a face behind quizmaster William G Stewart's back.

I clearly remember one contestant answered a football question with "Graeme Taylor" only for Anne Robinson to say "No, it was Graeme Taylor," with his answer being given wrong.

Which was odd.
