Random cricinfo scorecards
Permalink

There are hours of fun to be had randomly clicking on a year in the archive.

So let's have your scorecards -- obscure matches, amazing matches, evocative ones. Extra points if a player has the same surname as a Ljubljana player past or present.

Mahomedans v Parsees, Bombay, 1914

A low-scoring match this, with DD Chothia bagging a pair.

You knew I'd be here pretty quickly. I love this sort of random nonsense. Who these guys are I have no idea, but it was a semi-final. The guy who is named Purdue would have created a few laughs at any Slovene hotel I'm sure and had a bit of a bad day at the office with the ball really.

Reasonable effort from the Druids opening batsman too, all things considered

Druids vs North Sunshine under 16's semi-final 1967/8

(Don't forget my bonus point for the Druid's number 3 batsman - this was completely random too)

A massive first innings score, including a 5 and a half hour unbeaten 506 from JC Sharp (77 4s, 5 6s). Whatever happened to him?

Melbourne Grammar School v Geelong College, 1915

Geelong absolutely mullered. Did they ever recover? A dusty Melbourne autumn of crippled psyches.

Nice one biggrin

Some of these schoolboy scores are unbelievable. Do you think the scorer just asked the batsman how much he got?

Two Melbourne matches so far.

Had to put this one in. It gives the Slovenian team an air of respectability as we've never taken quite such a caning.

Myanmar vs Nepal 2006

Quite fancy taking on Myanmar, altough their opener who lasted 20 balls for 1 could be quite a threat...

It's not a scorecard, but a player profile that's full of fascinating and useful information.

A real sporting giant, that fellow. Wonder if he "golden showered"?

Sounds like a decent spell from Deadly here. Check the 3rd innings...

Also note thrilling scoring rate. Them was the days.
