Hi every body,
i come only to try this forum, with the advice of Btad.
I'm an new and ld cricketer : new because i 'm plyaing only from 6 years, and old because i'm 43 (since 2 days).
So i can speak a lot of thinck , but for the moment i'll like to know that you think about my web site: http://www.annuairecc.eu

Bienvenue Charlot.

It's fantastic to see our first French cricket player here.

I have had a look at your site and it looks good so far and it is very interesting to discover new clubs around the world.

Can you tell us a bit about cricket in your part of France. Is there a good mix of French and foreign players? What do French people think of cricket if they have heard of it? Can you see any cricket on TV anytime? I know you are in the Brittany / Normandy area - how many teams play there? Do you have a "league" or do you just organise "friendly" games? Do many English teams come over? Do you have teams from anywhere else?

I know I would be very interested in hearing about cricket in your country and I hope you enjoy our forum.

Salut, Charlot. C'est excellent d'etendre que le cricket pousse en France, et avec les francais. Moi, je joue a Montreal, Quebec. As tu vue le film, La Grande Seduction? Il racconte un histoire d'un isle quebecois, ou ils jouent le cricket pour attracter un medecin. Tres drole.

Ou est-ce que tu joues en France? J'ai joue un fois juste norde de Bezieres, avec des anglais et une fille francaise.  Les francais n'ont pas jamais entendues de 'French cricket'.

Yes it is wonderful to have the only local player in his team with us. Make sure you have a look at Charlots website where he is trying to compile a directory of as many cricket clubs around "non Test playing" countries. This could be a valueable resource to many people so we support it here at Ljubljana Cricket Club.

It's also wonderful to see that the only Frenchman in his whole team is happy to pop into our forum and chat in English too. I know Charlot can understand English quite well, so I won't hurt him with my written French ("Quelle catastrophe") but I know there are many out there who are good at this, or enjoy the challenge, so please feel free to use as much as you are happy with, as Angus has done (so impressively may I add) above)

I'm sure the English have never heard of "Creme anglaise" either, and what a Frenchman would think of a Slovene "francoska solata" (french salad - it's supposed to mean) can only be guessed.

Hi Angus,

C'est étrange de parler français sur un forum slovaine, mais c'est l'avantage du web.
Désolé je n'ai pas entendu parler de ce film, mais vais essayé de le trouver.
Bizarre aussio que tu sois de Montréal: J'habite à Rennes et mon club de cricket est à 25 kms de ST Malo (pays de Jacques Cartier).
Comme tu le sais maintenant j'ai créer un site web; l'objectif est de créer un annuaire le plus grand possible des clubs de cricket dans le monde. Les clubs peuvent s'inscrire en ligne (it's free of course).Donc n'hésite pas a en parler autour de toi et à venir voir ce site. N'hésite pas à me dire ce que tu en penses.
Je ne joue au cricket que depuis 6 ans, mais qu'elle sport...
J'oublais, les clubs peuvent  écrire des articles sur leur club (histoire du club, résultats d'un match avec commentaire,...) en direct, donc n'hésite pas à le faire comme Brad l'a fait.

Hi All,
idont speak englih very well, but i have agood dictionnary (i hope).
About the World cup, i find a web site who put online the summary of games past.Sorry i haven' the link under my arm.
In France no channel speak about cricket ( sic !). But i hope in some years maybe...
