the german lads used to hamburg and the reeperbahn are wondering if there is an area of ill-repute in lj where roxanne might be able to turn on the red light.

pls advise
Though at first this thread was going to be an encomium for the new nets, I can advise as follows: in LJ the areas of ill-repute generally involve poor kebabs and the infamous pizza-burek, an ill-advised combination of different fast foods. The club generally suggests visitors bring their own Roxannes with them, though the very well-reputed girls of Global are famous for sharing their virtues with enthusiastic visitors to the city. But maybe other posters have more to say on this subject.

The best Roxannerie went several years ago. Nowadays there seem to be several out of town places to frequent, although having never been cannot vouch for their quality. We did have a touring side who went to one out-of-town Roxannerie last year in which they spent 7 hours, they were a bunch of essex tarts though...
Global chicks tend to be accomodating providing you fib to them that you are staying in Slovenia for quite some time. Useful tips are to put in some knowledge of the country, a few words here and there etc. Basically, say anything that will fool them into thinking that you are not like all the other chick-hunting one night-standers from EasyJet/Munich CC etc...
Roxanniere facilities are lacking in Slovenia, they are out there but generally price inhibitive for the regular tourist. The facilities fall into two categories, let me call them the "True Roxanniere" (TR) & "Potential Roxanniere" (PR).
The TR's are generally labelled as a "Nočni Klub" & located in most cities and bigger towns. In terms of Ljubljana, there is the Slon, expensive and you will be expected to buy (expensive) drinks before negotiating Optional Extras (OE). The Slon is very much a RWM (Rich White Man) establishment. Probably the best value for money OE's is the Nočni Klub in Turjak. The only problem is taxi fares, it will cost a minimum of 50 euros for a return trip depending on how long you stay at the TR.They are more forthright in dealing with the OE subject and it is more for the price conscientious. One is still expected to buy a drink for the R (Roxanniere). There is another in Domzale, but have no histroical data on record. Most of the R's in the TR establishments emanate from the usual former Soviet States.
There is a local taxi driver who will look after visitors and is experienced in such matters (most will claim they are but are working on kickbacks).
The PR's are more plentiful in & around Ljubljana. Trying to negotiate any sort of OE can be achieved but the price will generally start high and the atmosphere is generally not like a TR in terms of the environment for an OE treatment. Some of the hostesses may take offence if you are forthright with seeking OE's, it must be tackled with a bit more grace. Some hostesses do raise the OE subject, but this varies widely and really down to the hostess. If you are a longer term tourist and will spend a bit of time in the land of PR's, you may be able to secure some OE's when the hostess is not working, dinner at least will be expected. The hostesses mainly originate from the former Soviet States, then the Dominican Republic and some from the Orient. The PR's in and around Ljubljana that I can recommend are Escape, Double 6 & Tanga.
If one of the motivating factors for going on tour is the for the TR's, then you will need extra spending money or an extension of your credit card limit.
Another alternative is the classifieds (Oglasnik), but getting a hold of a R is very hard and quite often they phone is hang-up if English or another foreign language is spoken (crazy but true). But it does represent the best value, but one has to travel to the R's working address, which deters most tourists when in a city for the first time.
thanks sir that really is the full helmet informative response.
i am brushing up my russian skills as we look to go roger mooring. its all about classified results on a saturday.
think TRM (traditional roger moores) NOCNI CLUB (eng. knocking shop) would be the way fwd but it could be a single man mission. no decent wing men available on this tour.
Should be able to scrounge up a wing man from this end, know a guy that should be able to help out.
The Russian will come in handy, most speak Slovene and some speak Italian (those closer to the border anyhow). Usually you find a few that speak English to a varying degree in the establishments.
Avid readers of the excellent free weekly newspaper urnal will be aware from their full-page 'report' (more of an advert, really) of www.sloescort.com, which should be more than helpful to anyone hoping to part with ready cash for a bunk up. According to urnal, they've even got what they refer to as a 41-year-old 'veteran'. Some may suspect that one off the wrist followed by an early night could be a better option.
The site below is pretty handy for any place a touring side may be visiting. It highlights the lack of facilities in Slo given how little info on Slo appears on the site:
The combined wisdom of this club scares me almost as much as that escort's prices. I'm with mr Dogsbody - a few pints, a quick Jodrell and off to bed to mentally prepare for the big match the next day.
Given the wedge brought into the club coffers by the block booking at the Hotel Park, a smaller group reservation at the knocking shop could similarly be a nice little earner, if a little "immoral" in the eyes of Her Majesty.
