Buchanan asks England for contest

John Buchanan, the current Australian coach has just come out with this statement. He is asking England to "bring their best game to Sydney."

He also "questioned Kevin Pieterson's commitment to the England team."

Personally, I think this is a classic case of "numpty-itis" and I predict KP to score more than 158 at the SGC.

Australia have played well, but the England team is a pretty useful collection of players, so Mr Buchanan may be forced to eat some of his words.

Any thoughts?

Bukkanen is being unfair on Pietersen.

However, if it gets England playing, all well and good.

I predict an innings defeat for the Aussies. Coupled with the fact that we've seen off Warne, McGrath, Martyn and possibly Langer, I think England can look back on an excellent month's work.

Can anyone tell what Buchanan is on about? That is what do we think he thinks a team player would have done this series that Pietersen hasn't done?

I presume the whole thing is just a little bit of **** stirring after KP's comments about not exactly following orders during his innings holding the tail together (first innings in Perth I think). If that's it then yes it's talking bollocks.
