From the TV in your living room, a TV in a pub, on the radio? Will it be text-based, with witty comments from the Guardian "team", or have you found a sketchy torrent operating out of Bangkok?

Like him without the dining his better half bit. Say "happy birthday" to her though from me.
I also "watch" cricinfo ball by ball description and sometimes if I have the new and improved (much bloody harder) "Stick Cricket" open I have a chuckle at their unashamedly biased coverage.
I am quite interested in finding that "Sketchy torrent operating out of Bangkok" though, so if anyone finds any links to radio or moving pictures, feel free to share the news.
I hope to make it down to Premiere at some point, otherwise it's cricinfo text.

sopcast.org was mentioned, but I haven't had a chance to check it out
Might be home around Easter so Premiere or Lijepa lopta could be good.
Not sure about Sopcast. Do they do cricket? I had half an eye on the Villa-Arsenal game on my computer last night. The quality's pretty good - I get to it through the Live Footy site.
Otherwise Cricinfo commentary is ok. Not as witty as OBO on the Graun but an update delay could mean a wicket; so it's almost like being there.
Then again, I liked Cricinfo's line 4 overs into Scotland's reply yesterday: - Bracken to Watts, 1 run, dropped by a flying Watson at second slip. Has he dropped the World Cup?!

Cricinfo and maybe Radio 5Live while at work. 5Live when at home in the evenings. BBC highlights before going to bed. A decent pub showing Sky during afternoons on the weekends.
Of course my good lady may not be able to put up with too much of it. But still, that's the plan.

If anyone gets it to work will they PM me to explain what to do. It looks as if it will work, but the interface is not too clear in the "which buttons do I press to watch?" department.
In the meantime while I try and work it out, all of us without access to a Sky dish, this is a useful link for good extended highlights. http://cricketvideosunplugged.blogspot.com/
You shuld be able to watch live here from work, home etc.
Picture is good and saves having to go on Leo to watch a match.
From your friends in Munich all the best.
Chopper, you are an official friend of Ljubljana CC for life. A few blokes might be wanting to buy you a beer, when the Munich express rolls into town. Unbelievable being able to watch cricket at home.
Install the program (you can log in as anonymous) then go to http://www.myp2p.eu/Other.htm then click play on the Sopcast link and it should sputter into life after about a minute. Hope it works for you - it's very acceptable quality actually.
"I don't want to sound pessimistic but with the required run-rate already above eight an over and rapidly increasing, it's surely game over - especially with three wickets down as well! I don't feel the West Indies have the firepower lower down the order, even with Lara, to achieve that pace of scoring!" Joel Smith, Loughborough, in the TMS inbox

no. I've never been to Loughborough, honest.
I was going to watch this on sopcast, but with the WI getting slaughtered it might be over by the time I get home.

I can't get the Windies on the sopcast today. I'm watching the SA-SL - the feed is nowhere near as good as yesterday- it keeps jumping. At first it was unwatchable then was fine for quite a while, but it's started catching again.
Oh, now it's umbrellas up in the crowd

Well, TV Ants seems to be working OK, nice picture.
I downloaded the patch they recommended to increase the number of connections from 10 to 50, which is supposed to improve the quality and everything.
All ok, apart from one of those schoolmarmish notices from Microsoft saying I've now compromised my system/started World War III/made Baby Jesus cry, etc.

Media Player 11 - I thought this one was called Media Player Bilboa

Media Player 11, like Vista, looks good but is rubbish and doesn't work. I went back to MP10. Much more stable and user friendly. Time for (another) patch Mr. Gates.....
