Was Jonny Wilkinson wearing lipstick today? What the hell was the TV ref doing allowing that try? That is the worst decision I have ever seen since Gatting, Gooch, and Lamb got triggered LBW in Pakistan. Amazing effort from Wilko, though. Good to see him back.

Do the Slovenes, and Australian Slovenes, support Scotland when they play England?

To be fair, most of the English members will have been supporting Scotland against England.

That was a shocking decision. Not sure it made much difference overall though.
England winning gives me close to no pleasure becaue of the awfulness of a union crowd. Smug ****s.

To be honest, I don't really care about this one as Scotland have been so traditionally useless at Rugby it's hard to get excited about a predictable result. I would support Wales though.

i watched it cos Archer's into pretty much any sport so I kept him company.

I think in general most English people I know would support Wales, Scotland would be going a bit far. I mean if they were any good you might think about it.

Plus you'll notice the tries actually scored were rugby league efforts (plus one Swede chipping in, it seems).

Scotland were truly atrocious. I imagine they're just semi-pro up there because they made the most elementary errors. England will get found out against Ireland, I'm sure. And hope.

Rugby Union's got a lot better since they went professional but only a couple of games are even watchable, i.e. some 6-Nations games and Oz, NZ and SA.

PS
Vichy France and Apartheid South Africa - both made rugby league illegal!!!

We was robbed??

Only in the same way as Slovenes have been robbed when they drive a car they don't want down south into Croatia or Bosnia, and abandon it with the keys in the ignition (cos they don't want to pay destruction charges).

Ireland were way off the boil today. It throws the championship wide open - particularly if O'Driscoll's injury keeps him out of a few games. Didn't see France yesterday, but all the other teams have looked rusty. Who is going to stand up and threaten NZ this WC?

Er, what?
Have you guys been away from the old country for too long?
Around here, it was "all hail the second coming of JW", I assure you. Not that I personally was all that bothered, but still.
By the way Jonny was declared man of the match on Saturday...

Well the feeling is that the England RU team may not be that representative of the "old country" - and are extremely difficult to identify with (except if playing Australia - and winning - and in an important game - and it's the last few minutes - and even then it's hard to give a toss).

Not unreasonable to make the man MoM given the points haul, mind you.
